Andrew C. Saxlehner, CPA, is the founder of The SEC Institute, Inc., a professional organization that concentrates on SEC education and training, conducting workshops, seminars and conferences for corporate accountants, financial executives, attorneys and partners and professional staff of CPA firms, in the United States and abroad. A well-known SEC expert and author, he is President and CEO of the company. Formerly with the SEC Department of the National Executive Office of KMG Main Hurdman and a partner of Frantz & Co., he has extensive experience in public accounting. Andy also served on the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC as a Senior Branch Accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance. Andy has appeared on national television shows including PBS’ Economically Speaking and CNBC’s World Business Review where he was interviewed by former U.S. Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger. Andy created and wrote the courses for our SEC Reporting Skills Workshop and IPO: A Guide to Going Public Workshop. An original co-author of the SEC Accounting and Reporting Manual published by Warren, Gorham & Lamont, Andy has also published articles in professional journals such as the Journal of Accountancy and Inc magazine. For years, he has been a well-known SEC instructor and speaker at a variety of seminars and national conferences, including the AICPA’s National Industry Conference. Andy is a member of the Florida and District of Columbia state societies of CPAs, as well as the AICPA. He is a former Chairman of the DC society’s SEC Practice Committee. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Berea College and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. |
