Michele P. Bell, MBA, CPA

Michele is a technical accounting and SEC reporting professional with over 25 years of experience. She was General Motors Assistant Controller of Global Technical Accounting for several years, where her responsibilities included providing accounting assistance to regional controllers, setting corporate accounting policy and implementing new accounting rules. Prior to joining General Motors, Michele was an Accounting Branch Chief of the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. As such, she led a team of accountants in the review of filings of registration statements and periodic reports. Additionally, Michele consulted with companies on complex financial reporting and accounting matters. Prior to joining the Commission, Michele worked for eleven years at two international public accounting firms and six years in corporate accounting and financial reporting with SEC registrants.
