Mitchell M. Krasnoff, CPA Mitchell M. Krasnoff, CPA, is a Vice-President of the SEC Institute and one of our most popular and highly-rated instructors. A former partner of Laventhol & Horwath, he was the firm's National Director of Accounting for many years. Mitch has been extremely active in the accounting standards-setting process, serving on various committees and task forces of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Accounting Standards Board. His national reputation and speaking skills make Mitch a "natural" for teaching our ever-increasing number of SEC Reporting Skills workshops, as well as our MD&A In Depth, Form 10-K In Depth, and the SEC Reporting for Foreign Companies: Form 20-F workshops, which he created.



W. Anderson Bishop, CPAW. Anderson Bishop, CPA is Executive Vice-President and Principal of The SEC Institute, where for the past 17 years he has taught over 16,000 professionals. The quintessential teacher of basic SEC reporting skills, he is a favorite with our participants. Formerly CFO and a director of a public company, Andy also spent 15 years with Price Waterhouse, where he guided many companies with their public offerings and subsequent periodic SEC filings. Andy’s brilliant teaching skills, public accounting and industry experience have enabled him to earn top ratings at The SEC Institute’s workshops. He is the co- creator of our IPO: A Guide to Going Public workshop.



George M. WIlson, CPA
Carol A. Stacey, CPA
, is Vice President of The SEC Institute, responsible for conducting seminars on various reporting and financial accounting topics, as well as overseeing our Conference Division. Before joining the SEC Institute, Carol was the Chief Accountant of the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, an appointment she held since February 2002. Her previous roles in the Division include Deputy Chief Accountant, Associate Chief Accountant, and Assistant Chief Accountant. She joined the Commission as a Staff Accountant in the Division in 1996. Before joining the Commission, Carol worked for an SEC registrant in various roles, including Director of Financial Reporting, Assistant Corporate Controller, and Divisional Controller. Prior to that, Carol was an auditor in the Boston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers.




George M. Wilson, CPA,
is Vice President and Principal of the SEC Institute, where he teaches courses in SEC reporting and related areas. He is the author of the Institute’s Advanced SEC Reporting Skills, Implementing SOX 404 Internal Control Reporting, SOX 404: Climbing the Learning Curve!, Understanding SFAS 133, Applying SFAS 109: Accounting for Income Taxes and Accounting for Business Combinations and Goodwill courses. Before joining the SEC Institute George was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the University of Saint Thomas, in Saint Paul, MN. He was director of the University's Accounting MBA program and also taught in the undergraduate accounting department. He has received the AICPA’s Outstanding Discussion Leader Award and the Minnesota State Society’s R. Glenn Berryman Award. George also served as Senior Vice President, Operations of Security Financial, where he managed the organization’s initial public offering, and as a senior manager with KPMG.
